Ecommerce Growth Opportunity Sprint
Turn the customer data you already have into your next best growth opportunities.
Bring together analytics, customer research, feedback, session behavior, experiment results, and personalization learnings to uncover where your ecommerce experience is getting in the way — and what is actually worth doing next.
The result is a prioritized opportunity map across UX, CRO, personalization, experimentation, messaging, merchandising, and measurement. Not another list of generic best practices.
$4,500 fixed investment • Typical turnaround: 7–10 business days once access and materials are available
The real problem
You probably don’t need more data. You need a clearer read on what the data is telling you.
Most ecommerce teams already have plenty of evidence. The problem is that it lives in different places, gets interpreted by different teams, and rarely comes together into one confident view of what should change.
Performance data
Web analytics, funnel performance, page-level KPIs, search behavior, channel and segment performance, product data, and other quantitative signals.
Customer evidence
User research, usability studies, surveys, customer feedback, reviews, support themes, and session recordings.
What you’ve already tried
Experiment results, personalization performance, past UX changes, promotions, messaging tests, merchandising decisions, and previous research findings.
The Evidence-to-Action Framework
Connect the evidence before deciding on the solution.
Instead of starting with a tactic — “we need an A/B test,” “we need personalization,” or “we should redesign this page” — the sprint starts with what customers are actually doing and works forward from there.
Evidence
What do the data and research actually show?
Behavior
What are customers actually doing?
Intent
What are they trying to accomplish?
Friction
What is making that harder?
Opportunity
Where can the experience help more?
Action
Fix it, personalize it, test it, measure it, or learn more.
No predetermined answer
The answer isn’t always an A/B test. And it isn’t always a UX change.
CRO, UX, personalization, experimentation, merchandising, and messaging all affect the same customer journey. Treating them as separate problems often leads teams to optimize one part while missing the larger issue.
The sprint identifies the problem first, then recommends the right response.
Personalization
A/B experiment
Messaging
Merchandising
Measurement
Additional research
What you get
A shorter list of better opportunities.
The goal isn’t to hand you a 75-slide audit packed with observations. It’s to show you where the strongest opportunities are, why they matter, and what to do with them.
Prioritized Growth Opportunity Map
- 5–10 high-priority opportunities grounded in your evidence
- The customer behavior and likely intent behind each opportunity
- The friction, unmet need, or performance problem being addressed
- Recommended action: fix, personalize, test, measure, or investigate
- Prioritization based on potential impact, confidence, effort, and evidence strength
Strategy Readout
- A 60-minute working session with your core team
- Walkthrough of the strongest patterns across your evidence
- Discussion of tradeoffs, constraints, and sequencing
- Clear recommendations for what should happen next
- One round of follow-up clarification after the readout
What I need from you
Use the evidence you already have.
You do not need a perfect analytics setup, a CDP, a mature experimentation program, or every source listed below. We use the best evidence available and identify where important gaps remain.
Business context
Current priorities, performance concerns, known customer problems, roadmap constraints, and the questions your team is trying to answer.
Quantitative evidence
Existing analytics dashboards or exports, funnel and page performance, segmentation, onsite search data, product or category performance, and prior experiment results.
Qualitative evidence
Research findings, interview or usability notes, survey data, customer feedback, reviews, session recordings, and support insights.
Standard scope
Focused enough to move quickly. Deep enough to make a decision.
The $4,500 fixed price is for a focused diagnostic sprint, not an unlimited forensic audit of every page, dataset, research artifact, and market.
Included in the fixed scope
- One ecommerce brand / website and one primary market
- One primary shopping journey or business objective
- Review of existing analytics dashboards, reports, or exports
- Up to 2 completed research studies or 10 interview / usability transcripts
- Up to 10 session recordings when session behavior is useful to the question
- Up to 15 recent experiment or personalization results
- 5–10 prioritized opportunities, a 60-minute readout, and one follow-up clarification round
Scoped separately when needed
- Additional brands, websites, countries, or major customer journeys
- Raw data warehouse analysis, custom SQL, instrumentation, or dashboard building
- New interviews, usability studies, surveys, recruitment, or primary research
- Large research repositories or extensive session-recording review
- Production design, development, experiment builds, or implementation
- Detailed execution roadmaps beyond the opportunity map
If the available evidence is larger or more complex than the standard sprint, I’ll recommend an expanded scope before the work begins — not halfway through it.
Best fit
For ecommerce teams that have evidence but lack a confident next move.
- You have meaningful ecommerce traffic and an established customer base
- Your team has analytics, research, testing, or customer feedback but the insights feel fragmented
- You know there is friction in the journey but aren’t sure what deserves attention first
- You want opportunities grounded in your customers and your business, not a generic CRO checklist
- You need senior-level thinking without adding a full-time CRO, personalization, or UX strategy role
This is designed primarily for established DTC and ecommerce brands with lean teams and real customer behavior to learn from.
Why this approach is different
I don’t have to force every problem into the same discipline.
UX lens
Understand where the experience creates confusion, unnecessary effort, weak findability, or decision friction.
Experimentation lens
Separate assumptions from questions worth validating and turn the strongest opportunities into useful tests.
Personalization lens
Identify where different customer intent or behavior creates a real reason to change the experience rather than personalize for personalization’s sake.
The work is grounded in years of hands-on ecommerce UX, experimentation, personalization, and conversion strategy. The goal is not to sell you more tactics. It’s to help your team make better decisions about the experience.
A starter project, not a forced retainer
Start by finding the opportunities. Decide what happens next after you see them.
Your team can take the opportunity map and act on it internally, or we can continue into a Growth Strategy Playbook, deeper experimentation and personalization strategy, or hands-on implementation support.
